1 kilo of Argentine ice cream!

in 4 Dulce de Leche flavours

I only buy ice cream here once a week. Cheated the system on the first week of the New Year by buying 1 kilo, because this fancy gelato place I pass by everyday had a promo. I did it to save money, it’s not like I’m not sharing it with my flat mates!

I normally get the $12 size, but in a cup. Although it is completely normal for one person to order the 1/4k ($15) for solo consumption. I see lots of skinny girls walking down Ave Sante Fe with 1/4k (1 pint?) each.  1 kilo is what, 1/2 gallon?

You can choose up to 4 flavours to fill up the tub. Nothing beats classic Dulce de Leche.

I’ve said it before, and I will keep preaching about it: Argentine gelato is the best! It’s comparable to Italian gelato, if not better (my Italian classmate backs me up on this). These people seem to be on the same boat:

1 , 2 , 3, 4, etc

Argentines take their ice cream seriously that they  published a book about it.

I’m such a fan of this treat that I almost bought a copy of this book. Even if it’s in Spanish. In the end, I thought it would be better to save my pesos for a cup of creamy goodness.

I don’t know how it remains under the radar in the international scene. We need Argentine Dulce de Leche ice cream in Manila.

p.s. I bought the tub of ice cream on Monday, I’ve only touched it once.

edit: there’s another book!

Ancy girl, sobrang sarap! Walang sinabi ang gelatissimo or kung ano man. I think it’s because of the quality of the cows’ milk here. 31 hours ang biyahe ko, ewan ko lang kung kaya haha. I will bring Dulce de Leche na lang for the office🙂
